KioskBuddy's menu system works directly off of the data in your Square Item Library, so importing your Square Item Library or Square Menu is one of the most important first steps when creating your KioskBuddy account. All of your categories, items, item variations, modifier sets, modifiers, and taxes will be pulled into KioskBuddy. Later on, if you make changes in Square, you can re-import the changes into your kiosk menu.
See how to import a menu in KioskBuddy
Log in to the KioskBuddy Dashboard.
Navigate to the Catalog page. This is where all of your kiosk menus are stored.
Push the Import a Menu button.
Choose between Square Item Library or Square Menu. If you need to create multiple menus or you use your Square Item Library as a “catch-all” for items and categories that cut across your online store, POS, and kiosks, then we recommend creating a kiosk-specific Square Menu in Square first and then importing that.
Select the menu you’d like to import and name the menu. This is just an internal identifier for KioskBuddy - no customers will see this name.
If you’re selecting to import your Square Item Library, select a location to import from. If you have multiple locations with location-specific items, you'll want to select the desired location. If you want to change the location of your Square Menu, you can do so after importing.
Name the menu.
Optionally select the checkbox to sort all of the data alphabetically.
Push the Import button to begin the import process.
To change the location of your Square Menu, click on your menu after you've imported it, then press ...More and then Change Location.
Keep in mind that you can create as many kiosk menus as you'd like. When you set up each iPad kiosk, you'll be asked to choose which menu you'd like to display. For example, you might have a seasonal menu or a menu for each of your locations.
