If you run a gym, sauna, or health studio, you probably need visitors to sign waivers. You probably also have a storefront where customers can purchase services, protein powder, electrolytes, snacks, or your merch. Gyms and health studios are signing up with KioskBuddy because it can be a storefront AND allow visitors to sign waivers.
If you have a big inventory or you sell specialty products, you’ll love that KioskBuddy integrates with a barcode scanner and weight scales. Customers can easily shop, scan, and check out or weigh and measure their goodies. We also offer inventory syncing, so you can keep track of low stocks and hot-selling items.
If you want something a bit more simple, KioskBuddy can handle that too. You can also create a storefront with a straightforward, modern display, where customers can find and select the items they’d like to buy, then pay for their purchase all on their own, without any additional need for a cashier.
With our “Web View Checkout Step”, you can prompt visitors to sign a waiver before they use your services.
Here’s how one of our customers, Tribe Sauna and Ice, based in Australia, has set up their storefront + waiver signing station.
They use two KioskBuddy kiosks. One of the kiosks acts as their storefront where customers can purchase water, electrolytes, or snacks. The other kiosk is for paying for sauna or ice bath services and waiver signing.
If you’d like to create a waiver signing station like Tribe, here’s how you can do that.
First, you’ll want to make sure you sign up for and set up your KioskBuddy account by following the steps, here.
Next, you’ll want to sign up for a separate waiver creation service outside of KioskBuddy, Tribe uses Jotform. We also recommend Formaloo, Survey Monkey, and Google Forms.
Now let’s add a Web View Checkout Step to KioskBuddy to prompt your customers to sign a waiver before they can use your facilities.
In your KioskBuddy Dashboard, head to “Checkout Flow”, then select “New Checkout Step":
Select "Web View":
For “Checkout Step Title” you could put something simple like “Waiver” or “Release Form”.
Under “Checkout Step Settings”, Website URL should be the link to your public form. Here’s an example from Jotform:
You’re good to go!
If you need every customer to sign the waiver, you’ll want to toggle the “Required input” option. This means a customer must complete the waiver to move on. Then, depending on your forms provider, you’ll want to fill in the “Completed Website URL”. The below steps are for Jotform, but feel free to reach out if you need assistance with your forms provider.
Fill out your waiver once to test it out and copy the link to the final thank you page to the “Completed Website URL” in KioskBuddy.
Once you do that, a customer must complete the waiver to check out. You can also optionally choose to show the waiver to your customers before they start purchasing your services or products with the “Show before customer starts their order” option. If you don’t toggle this on, it will show them the waiver right before they check out.
